Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation - HQAA
HQAA – is a national accreditation that evaluates healthcare organizations to ensure they provide the highest quality care and safety. Healthcare organizations volunteer to be inspected by this non-profit organization to show customers their dedication to surpassing industry standards of safety and quality of care. HQAA is recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), the largest health care insurance provider in the United States.

NCART
The National Coalition for Assistive and Rehab Technology (NCART) seeks out better ways to allow consumer access to appropriate technology and services while creating a stable business environment for providers and manufacturers of rehab and assistive technology. They work closely with the governing bodies to help attain their goals. Reliable Medical shows support through membership, and in 2020 Debbie Kalk became a serving member of the NCART board. NRRTS
The National Registry for Rehab Technology Suppliers (NRRTS) is dedicated to ensuring the provision of high-quality rehabilitation technology and related services to people with disabilities. Reliable Medical employs several members of NRRTS who meet specific professional membership requirements, agree to adhere to the Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice and Blind Bidding policies of NRRTS, and commit to participating in continuing education to remain a member. Rehab Engineering Society of North America (RESNA) is an administrative body that promotes research, development, education, and advocacy provision of technology by supporting the people engaged in these activities. AAHomecare
American Association for Homecare works to strengthen access to care for the millions of Americans who require medical care in their homes. AAHomecare represents healthcare providers, equipment manufacturers, and other organizations in the homecare community. AAHomecare members serve the medical needs of millions of Americans who require oxygen equipment and therapy, mobility assistive technologies, medical supplies, inhalation drug therapy, home infusion, and other home medical equipment, therapies, services, and supplies in the home. Midwest Association for Medical Equipment Services is an organization of firms that provide home medical equipment and services, home care, distribution of products and manufacturing of products. MAMES is an organization formed out of the need for a more powerful voice in legislative matters and a need for education and information that is critical to our continued success as an industry. Respiratory Department Accreditations & Certifications
LRT
Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT) denotes a licensed professional that stays current on all respiratory practices by means of continued education and practice requirements. Reliable Medical employs LRTs to provide patients unmatched respiratory service and support. Respiratory equipment setups, education, and assessments are performed by qualified LRTs to ensure a high standard of care.
RT
All Reliable Medical Respiratory Therapists are state-licensed and have gone beyond state requirements to continue their education and obtain further credentials through the National Board for Respiratory Care. Many of our LRTs on staff have some or all of the following additional credentials: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS), and Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT).
Service Department Accreditations & Certifications
VGM — U.S. Rehab
U.S. Rehab’s hands-on seminars and online programs for service technicians provide detailed learning about product specifics, basic repair strategies, troubleshooting and programming. Courses are administered online through the DMERT Group or through onsite training, with beginner, intermediate, or advanced sessions to ensure all RMS technicians are prepared to provide the best in care. All RMS technicians receive this certification.
Client Rights and Responsibilities
It is the policy of Reliable Medical Supply to assure client rights to the fullest extent possible. Therefore, all staff members are instructed to adhere to the following conditions:
- Clients have the right to be treated fairly with courtesy and respect.
- Client 's have the right to quality home care equipment services regardless of race, creed, religion, sex or source of payment.
- Clients have the right to request and receive detailed explanation of their bill for products and services.
- Clients have the right to reasonable participation in decisions regarding their home care services.
- Clients have the right to be communicated with in a way that they can reasonably understand.
- Clients have the right to refuse equipment and services; accepting full responsibility for that refusal.
- Clients have the right to choose their provider of home care services.
- Clients have the right to receive our assistance in transferring their home care service to another provider.
- Clients have their right to receive our assistance in transferring their home care service to another provider.
- Clients have the right to home care services in a timely manner, appropriate to their needs.
- Clients have their right to assured confidentiality, to review their records, and to approve or refuse the release of records.
- Clients have the rights to have competent and qualified people carry out the services for which they are responsible.
- Clients have the right to voice their grievances and recommend changes in policies and services.
- Clients have the right to be given reasonable notice of discontinuation of services.
